Normal Mommies Unite!

"Lima Bean"
Liam

Well....welcome!! Blogging is all very new to me but I thought I would go ahead and jump into our current century and start one up! Welcome to Lima Beans & Organic Shampoo

This blog is a potpourri of my life with my son (my husband will be in here too I'm sure - love you baby!) It's for us stay at home mommies that need help - those of us that felt lost the first time we walked into Hobby Lobby thinking I know I can make something like Martha Stewart, I know I can. This blog is for us mommies that think dirty babies and sticky dining room table tops aren't too bad. This blog is for us mommies that worry more about the things that touch our babies than the things that touch us. This is for us mommies that despite our budget constraints find a way to do gymnastics, weekly trips to WalMart for the must have Hot Wheel car, trips to the grocery store for organic things we know nothing about, and still somehow have to manage to have money left over. This is for us normal mommies, if you can call us that. We're not from Leave It To Beaver, but we wouldn't mind having our house look that clean every once in a while. We are REAL mommies. Sometimes our houses smell like poopy diapers and sometimes they smell like Swiffer Wetjet depending on what day you walk in to our kitchen. Sometimes we've showered, sometimes we haven't. Sometimes we've got things organized and sometimes, well, sometimes nothing is organized.

So, join me in my blast into stay at home mommydum and learn with my son Liam (spell check always wants to make is Lima, hence the Lima Beans) and we'll learn together how to connect with our children on a daily basis hopefully. I'll post what's gone right, and with a big sigh and maybe a glass of wine, I'll post what's gone wrong too. Who knows, we all might just learn something!

Life is too short to not enjoy your children. They receive your oversite and guidance for such a limited time....enjoy every moment. If you remember to be a parent, and not try to be just their friend, during those first 20 years, you will find that your children have become your friends when they are adults~

Children are a blessing from God. Watch over them as He watches over you.
