It's POTTY time!!

Tonight is a very very big night! LIAM WENT POTTY ON THE BIG BOY POTTY! So literally I'm sitting in the bathroom with him for 30 minutes, he sits, he looks, he sits, he toots, he laughs, he sits, he toots some more, he laughs, etc.... finally, he poops! YAY!!! I screamed! Poor thing I probably scared the next poo right out of him because I don't think he was expecting me to scream so loud! High fives, laughs, screams, squeals all around. Then he tells me, I'm not done mommy, so we stay longer. This whole ordeal probably was around an hour long (way past our bedtime but who could stop the potty machine??). Now what do I do!?!? I'm confused - straight to underwear, more pull ups? Do I take him potty every 10,20, 30+ minutes? Too much to digest right now!! Plus, I'm coming down with a cold (again) Jackson is sick with the upper respiratory guck, and we're both for lack of a better word, pooped. Thank goodness we can sleep tonight and hopefully be ready for a full day of potty partying tomorrow. Plus we have a giant "digger with a back hoe" and garbage truck to buy as I promised Liam months ago when he used the potty like a big boy for the first time.

We did muster up enough energy after doping ourselves up with cold medicine today to try the mentos/coke trick. My neighbor Gena, (see my favorite blog list) and science teacher extraordinaire, did this one with her class and got me thinking! I've never done it and have seriously, always wanted to. So today we did our mentos experiment on the front sidewalk, twice. Liam loved it - called it the "boom" and "splreiorshh" It was great fun. I don't know how much we learned but man it was a blast to spray Diet RC all over the place!!!
