Today was science day, and we had a throwback to the dinosaur (dino-horse) era!!! I found some crazy "sea monkey-ish" things to grow called TRIOPS. They come as eggs that you put into a fish bowl and they hatch in 1-2 days. Here is our photographic journey this morning of getting the water prepared to hatch our eggs!
So, they kind of look like crazy prehistoric underwater monsters - the package says they can grow to be up to two inches long?? I'm totally going to flush them if they get that big because it will freak me out to have those on my kitchen table!!! You will notice in picture #2 Liam has learned to say "cheese" very well for the camera. He was quite the ham for me this morning trying to take quick pictures with my iPhone for the blog!! He kepts saying "put the fishies in their mommy" but I had to explain how an egg hatches and that soon we would have little "fishies" for him to see.
I will post the results of our Triops science experiment if these little buggers hatch over the next two days (yikes!) Wish us luck!!!
